The Missouri women's golf team placed fourth Tuesday at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.

The Tigers' score of 899 at the three-day tournament at Stallion Mountain Golf Club was one stroke behind third-place University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Indiana won the team crown at 894, and Central Florida (897) was second.

Tigers freshman Katherine Hepler finished in a tie for sixth after recording a 2-under-par 70 on the final day. She shot a 73 on the first day and a 78 the next to finish with a 221.

Redshirt freshman Michelle Butler was two strokes behind Hepler with a 223, good for 14th, and junior Taylor Gohn rounded out the top 25 with a 227.

The Tigers will take a four-month hiatus and will return to competition on Feb. 10 at the Central Florida Challenge in Sorrento, Fla.
