Here is a schedule of events for MU's 2012 Homecoming.
Almost Midnight Breakfast
Mizzou After Dark puts on its annual Almost Midnight Breakfast. A breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits and gravy will be served from 9 to 11 p.m. at Tiger Plaza. Students with a valid MU student ID eat free. The cost is $5 for the general public, and no one under the age of 17 will be allowed.
The annual campus decorations contest, with the theme "Homecoming and the Eras," runs from 6 to 10 p.m. in Greektown. Fraternity and sorority chapters will decorate large sets in front of their houses that highlight some aspect of the era their chapter is representing — from the Mayans to the Roaring '20s. Chapter members will also perform skits. The event is free and open to the public.
Spirit rally and campuswide concert
Performances by Marching Mizzou and the indie band Imagine Dragons highlight the event, held from 9:30 to 11 p.m. on Rollins Street in front of the MU Student Center. There will also be an appearance by the Spirit Squad, which includes the MU cheerleaders, the Golden Girls and Truman, as well as guest speaker Gary Link, Missouri sports announcer.
The free pancake breakfast begins at 7 a.m. in Brewer Fieldhouse at the MU Student Recreation Complex.
The annual Homecoming parade begins at 7 a.m. at Rollins Street and Tiger Avenue. The parade route goes from Rollins Street to University Avenue, to Ninth Street, to Broadway and ends at the corner of Sixth and Elm streets. There will be a live stream of the parade on Missouri's livestream.com page.
Romp, Chomp and Stomp Tailgate
The Romp, Chomp and Stomp Tailgate begins at 8:30 a.m. on Mel Carnahan Quadrangle. There will be live entertainment and a spirit rally. Admission is free, and food and beverage will be available for purchase.
