LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Northern commissioner race has stayed polite, business-like

Thursday, October 25, 2012 | 1:18 p.m. CDT

As the election looms close, I am sure there are many that are tired of all the ads, the campaigning, the back-biting, etc.

How refreshing it is to have had a campaign for Northern District commissioner where the candidates took it upon themselves to be polite, business-like, and to the point. We learned a lot more about them and what they will do in office as a result, didn't we? Both candidates have done us proud.

I support Janet Thompson because I have seen firsthand her intellect and work ethic.  She treats everyone she meets with respect.  She also knows how to get things done, and I think that is important in our county government. I hope that you will get out and exercise your constitutional right to vote, and that when you do, you will consider Janet your candidate for commissioner, as I do.
