Freeze watch issued for late Friday night, early Saturday

COLUMBIA — A freeze watch has been issued for mid-Missouri for late Friday night into Saturday morning. 

A cold front is moving through the area, bringing cooler temperatures and clear skies with light winds. According to the National Weather Service, these conditions will likely support widespread frost and subfreezing conditions late Friday night and early Saturday. 

In Columbia, the forecast low for Friday night is 31 degrees.
