Man assaulted, robbed at Maple Court

COLUMBIA — A Blue Springs man who was visiting friends in Columbia was robbed and assaulted Monday night. 

At approximately 11:20 p.m. the 22 year-old victim returned to his vehicle after a visit with friends in the area of Rocky Fork Drive at Maple Court. He was approached by three men who were wearing hoodies and had bandanas covering their faces. 

The men demanded that the victim hand over his property. When the victim refused, the men assaulted him. The suspects fled the area with the man's property and remain at large.

The victim was treated for injuries and was later released.
