RICHMOND HEIGHTS — Police in Richmond Heights are investigating after someone scrawled "KKK" on homes and cars in a neighborhood of the suburban St. Louis town.

Residents said they were shocked to find the references to the Ku Klux Klan during the weekend. Police so far are declining comment. Richmond Heights is a middle class, integrated suburb in central St. Louis County.
