Police looking for suspect in relation to shooting near hospital

COLUMBIA — Columbia Police were looking for a Columbia man in connection with a shooting Tuesday in the 3600 block of West Sugar Tree Lane.

Rashard L. Bigham is wanted for first-degree assault and armed criminal action, according to a Columbia Police news release.

Shortly after the incident at 2 p.m., a 17-year-old male arrived at the Women's and Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a previous release.

Bigham is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information should contact the Columbia Police Department or call Crime Stoppers at 875-8477 to give information anonymously.
