COLUMBIA — A residence in northeast Columbia was hit by several shots Sunday night, according to a release from the Columbia Police Department.

Police reported no injuries involved with the incident, which took place in the 2700 block of Quail Drive.

Officers found shell casings both inside and outside the residence, which indicates an exchange of gunfire, the release said.

An uninvolved citizen told police that three males in a white Chevrolet Impala drove away from the area at high speed, the release said.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
