Ashland teen dies in car crash Wednesday

COLUMBIA – An Ashland teenager died after crashing his car driving on U.S. 63 on Wednesday afternoon.

Freddie Rudkin, 18, was driving his 1994 Ford Probe north on U.S. 63 when he traveled off the right side of the road, struck a rock bluff and flipped his car, according to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Rudkin was ejected from the car. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

He was transported to University Hospital and pronounced dead at 4:34 p.m.
