JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri House currently has several vacancies as lawmakers who did not seek re-election move on to new positions.
All 163 seats will be filled when newly elected legislators are sworn into office in January. But four seats remain empty for now.
Democrat Chris Carter resigned Oct. 26 and now is an alderman in St. Louis.
Gary Fuhr stepped down Sept. 30 and is now the Republican director for the St. Louis County Board of Elections. Also on the Republican side, House Speaker Steven Tilley and Ray Weter both resigned in August.
