ArtTalk: Columbia Public Library to hold Book Trivia Night

November 23, 2012 | 3:12 p.m. CST

This article is a part of ArtTalk, a Missourian project inviting people from the arts community to tell us what’s cooking around town. To submit something you're excited about and open the eyes of the community to local art, fill out the form at the bottom of this story. Find past submissions here.

Here's the latest in the series, written by Brandy Sanchez, a librarian at the Columbia Public Library.

Q: What artistic project or product are you excited about?

A: The Columbia Public Library is hosting a free Book Trivia Night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gather a team of three to six people and answer 100 literature-related questions. Participants are also welcome to register individually, and we'll create a team for them. Prizes will go to the winning teams and refreshments are provided. To register, please call 443-3161. The event is free and open to the public.

Q: Why are you excited, and why might other people be interested?

A: This program provides a fun, affordable way to hang out with friends while celebrating your inner book lover. Connoisseurs of useless knowledge and collectors of random facts are all welcome.
