City offices closed for Thanksgiving holiday

COLUMBIA — City offices will be closed Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving Day.

Residential trash and recycling collection will not occur Thursday. Regular Thursday and Friday collections will be delayed by one day. The city landfill also will be closed Thursday.

City buses will not run Thursday, and parking meters will not be enforced. Emergency services will remain available, but administrative offices at the fire and police departments will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

City offices will reopen for Friday. Anyone with questions regarding waste pick-up can call the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291.
