LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Thank you to all who contributed to Everyone Eats

Friday, November 23, 2012 | 2:17 p.m. CST; updated 2:37 p.m. CST, Friday, November 23, 2012

Those of us who participated in the Thanksgiving tradition called Everyone Eats would like to thank anyone or any organization who facilitated this expression of Thanksgiving in any way.

Thanksgiving was a rich experience because of your goodwill and generosity. To put it bluntly, we had a ball! The smile on Almeta Crayton's face and the enthusiasm expressed by participants at all aspects of the process was heartening. The smiles and laughter and sharing by everyone was contagious as they expressed their Thanksgiving. From the elegant Stephens College alumni, who pleasantly acted as ushers, to the Girl Scouts who assisted in the preparation of the food with volunteers from the neighborhood and mid-Missouri, thank you.

We had a great time and a delicious meal with some genuinely great people.

Thanks again, Columbia!
