COLUMBIA — The Missouri men's basketball team dropped in the Associated Press basketball poll this week, falling three spots to number No. 16.

The Tigers (5-1) placed third at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in Nassau, Bahamas, last week, beating Stanford University and Virginia Commonwealth University, but losing to the University of Louisville.

For the fourth week in a row, Indiana (6-0) remains ranked No. 1. Duke (6-0), who won the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament by beating Louisville in the championship game, moved up to No. 2, while Louisville dropped to No. 5.

Missouri is one of three ranked teams in the Southeastern Conference. Florida (5-0) and Kentucky (4-1) are ranked No. 7 and No. 8.

The Tigers face Appalachian State (1-4) at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mizzou Arena.
