Grass Roots Organizing to hold meeting about proposed budget cuts to Medicare, Medicaid

COLUMBIA — Grass Roots Organizing will hold a meeting about the proposed budget cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Old Labor Temple, 611 N. Garth Ave.

Tom Kruckemeyer, director of fiscal policy and chief economist for the Missouri Budget project, will talk about how Congress' choices regarding these programs will affect Americans.

Community members will also speak about why the programs are important to them.
