COLUMBIA — Deputies from the Boone County Sheriff's Department arrested Henry C. Wilson of Columbia on Sunday morning after Wilson led police on a high-speed pursuit.

Wilson failed to stop his vehicle when a deputy first attempted to stop him for speeding near the 5000 block of Clark Lane.

According to a news release from the Sheriff's Department, Wilson continued at excessive speeds until stopping his vehicle near Vandiver Drive and Parker Street.

Upon arrest, Wilson was discovered to be carrying individually packaged crack cocaine.

According to the release, Wilson was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and speeding.

His bond was set at $1,290, not including the possession charge, which has not been set by a judge at this time.

Supervising editor is Zach Murdock.
