COLUMBIA — The Columbia Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred in the 3000 block of Jenne Hill Drive on Monday night.

A male victim had placed an ad on Craigslist looking for new or used electronics, according to a Columbia Police Department news release. The victim met the two suspects at the planned location, and one drew a weapon and demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspects fled the scene in a dark vehicle.

The victim was not injured during the attempt. No arrest has been made so far, and the investigation is ongoing.

Supervising editor is Emilie Stigliani.
