COLUMBIA — MU's College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources is selling poinsettias through the Horticulture Club and the Tiger Garden.

The Horticulture Club's annual poinsettia sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the Anheuser Busch Natural Resources Building. The plants will be available in a variety of sizes and colors. Small plants start at $3.

Tiger Garden will sell poinsettias through finals week, or Dec. 14. Prices start at $12.95 for traditional arrangements and $14.95 for dazzling poinsettias, or poinsettias that are dyed and have sparkles on the leaves.

The plants are available in six inch or eight inch pots, said Clarissa Brown, a student manager at the florist shop.

The tiger paw poinsettia, a Tiger Garden specialty, starts at $16.95.

"It's our true trademark," Brown said. "It's gold with tiger paws on the leaves."

The Tiger Garden is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in room 2-34 in the Agriculture Building, located across the street from the MU Bookstore.

Supervising editor is John Schneller.
