Shell Petromart robbed Friday night

COLUMBIA — A man robbed the Shell Petromart station on I-70 Drive Southwest on Friday night. Officers were dispatched at 7:44 p.m. 

A man entered the building and demanded money, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. He implied he had a weapon, but witnesses did not see the weapon, police said. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. A K-9 team tried to track him but was unsuccessful. 

The suspect is a man in his thirties, 5'8"-5'10", approximately 200 pounds, black with brown eyes and short, curly black hair. He was seen wearing a striped shirt, blue jeans, boots and a scarf at the scene. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477 to remain anonymous.
