BLUE SPRINGS — Kendahl Adams scored 13 points, but the Hickman High School girls basketball team lost 53-50 to Blue Springs High School in the championship game of the Blue Springs tournament Saturday night.

Jade Holly and Emily Miller each had 10 points and both were named to the all-tournament team.

Hickman coach Tonya Mirts was particularly impressed with sophomore Ellie Johnson's 11-point performance.

“I think she turned the corner and made us a much better team,” Mirts said.

The Kewpies play Rolla on Monday.
