Suspect of armed robbery at Walmart still at large

COLUMBIA — The suspect of an armed robbery at Walmart is still at large.

The robbery occurred the night of Dec. 4 at the Walmart on Broadway, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

The suspect pulled a handgun on the victim after the victim offered the suspect a ride from Walmart, according to the news release. The suspect demanded that the victim drive to the bank and withdraw money, after which the suspect stole the victim's car, keys, wallet and electronics.

The victim was hit in the head and face with the handgun during the robbery, according to the news release. The blows caused minor injuries.

The car the suspect stole was a white 2002 Ford Focus with Missouri registration, according to the news release.
