CENTRALIA — A Centralia man was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of drug distribution to a minor near a school and sexual misconduct with a child, Centralia Police Chief Larry Dudgeon said.

Jacob Van Gilder, 20, was taken in for questioning after a medical facility contacted the Centralia Police Department regarding the condition of a 14-year-old, Dudgeon said.

Gilder was also arrested on suspicion of first-degree child endangerment and second-degree child molestation, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Department report.
The Centralia Police Department's investigation is ongoing, Dudgeon said.
