COLUMBIA — A Hickman student was struck by a moving vehicle in front of the high school while crossing Providence Road south of Business Loop 70 on Thursday morning.

The student was not injured but was transported to an area hospital, Tracey Conrad, principal of Hickman High School, said.

Snowy weather conditions contributed to the accident, Conrad said. "It really was an accident due to visibility factors. It was snowing pretty significantly at the time."

The student was not using a crosswalk when the accident occurred, Conrad said.
