COLUMBIA — Crews will continue to clear city roads throughout Thursday evening and into Friday morning.

Seven trucks from the Department of Public Works will remain active after hours to plow priority roadways, according to a news release from the department. Once the main roads have been cleared efforts will be focused on cleaning and treating secondary roadways.

The news release issued a warning about the potentially dangerous conditions of roadways with melting and refreezing. Motorists and cyclists are urged to buckle-up, drive slowly and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.

Supervising editor is Emilie Stigliani.
