Police respond to Petro Mart robbery Friday morning

COLUMBIA — Police responded to an armed robbery early Friday morning at the Petro Mart Convenience Store on Range Line Street.

A robber armed with a knife demanded money from two clerks and then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

A Boone County K-9 unit tracked the man to a parking lot where he was believed to have entered a vehicle and left the area.
