COLUMBIA—Robert Paul Henry, of Oro Valley, Ariz., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. He was 77.
Mr. Henry was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Columbia to Willard and Edith Crosswhite Henry. In 1957, he married Joyce Sewell.
Mr. Henry was a member of Company A 175th Military Police Battalion with the Missouri National Guard. From 1956 to 1960, he served in the Columbia Police Department.
Beginning in 1960, Mr. Henry worked at the Tucson, Ariz., police department,where he was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
Mr. Henry graduated from Gormac Polygraph School with a degree in polygraphy. He went on to work as a polygraphist in Columbia and Tucson and to serve as president of the Arizona Polygraph Association.
After his retirement in 1981, Mr. Henry traveled in all 50 states and nine Canadian provinces.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Sewell.
A service will be held at the Vistoso Community Church in Oro Valley, Ariz., on Jan. 5, 2013.
