Robert Paul Henry, of Oro Valley, Ariz., Dec. 29, 1934 to Dec. 18, 2012

Robert Paul Henry, son of Willard and Edith Crosswhite Henry went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 18, 2012 at his home in Oro Valley, AZ. Born December 29, 1934 in Columbia, MO, he graduated from Hickman High School in 1953. He attended the University of Missouri and the University of Arizona. He married Joyce Sewell in 1957, and she survives.

He was a member of Company A 175th Military Police Battalion with the Missouri National Guard. From 1956 to 1960 he served on the Columbia Police Department.

In 1960 he joined the Tucson, AZ Police Department. He was promoted to sergeant and worked Homicides, Internal Affairs, and Special Investigations. A graduate of Gormac Polygraph School, he served both police departments as a polygraphist, and was a past president of the Arizona Polygraph Association.

After retiring in 1981 he and Joyce enjoyed traveling in all fifty states and nine Canadian Provinces.

A memorial service will be held at the Vistoso Community Church in Oro Valley, AZ on Jan. 5, 2013. His ashes will be buried at Grandview Cemetery in Boone County, MO. Local arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
