Missouri men's basketball falls to No. 12 in AP Rankings

The Missouri men's basketball team lost on the road Friday 97-94 in overtime at UCLA. Five players scored in double figures for the Tigers (10-2), highlighted by the record-breaking night of Phil Pressey. He had 19 points and 19 assists, shattering the previous school record of 13 shared by Stefhon Hannah and Melvin Booker.

Despite falling in the rankings, Missouri remains the highest ranked team in the Southeastern Conference, with Florida right behind the Tigers at No. 13. Last week's top five (Duke, Michigan, Arizona, Louisville, and Indiana) remain unchanged.

This week ahead: Missouri faces Bucknell (12-2) at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mizzou Arena. The Bison are led by senior forward Mike Muscala, who is averaging 19.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. This will be the final game of Missouri’s nonconference schedule. The Tigers open up their inaugural SEC season at home against Alabama on Jan. 8.
