Columbia College women's basketball wins fifth straight

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women's basketball team won its fifth straight game on Saturday with a 75-43 victory over Park (Mo.) University.

Columbia improves to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in league play with the win.

Sophomore Tierney Seifert led all scorers with a season-high 18 points, finishing four of eight from three-point range. Heather English had 17 points and a game-high four assists, and senior Lily Abreu added 15.

Columbia returns to the court for another conference match-up against Benedictine University of Springfield (Ill.) on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Arena of Southwell Complex.
