Columbia College men's basketball team stays undefeated

COLUMBIA — The Cougars men’s basketball team picked up a 73-59 victory over visiting Park University on Saturday in an American Midwest Conference match-up. Columbia College remained unbeaten at 16-0 for the season and also moved to 2-0 in the conference. 

Columbia College's Jordan Dressler finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead a balanced attack that had five players in double figures. The Cougars also received 13 points from junior Devin Griffin and 12 points apiece from Derrick Dilworth, Zach Rockers and Tanner Sutton. Senior Marquette Murrell handed out four assists to lead all players.

Columbia College will return to action Thursday against conference opponent Benedictine University of Springfield, Ill. The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Arena of Southwell Complex and will follow the Columbia College women’s game.
