COLUMBIA — Senior forward Laurence Bowers will miss the next two games with the Missouri men's basketball team after spraining the MCL in his right knee Tuesday in the second half of the game against Alabama.
An MRI revealed no structural damage to the ACL or bone on Wednesday.
Bowers, currently leading the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game, will miss Missouri's games against Ole Miss (Jan. 12) and Georgia (Jan. 16) and will be reevaluated at the end of the week.
Bowers tore his ACL in his left knee last year, missing the entire season.
With forward Tony Criswell already out with a fractured middle finger, the Tigers will depend on freshman forwards Ryan Rosburg and Stefan Jankovic more heavily in the next two games.
