Hickman boys basketball wins opening game of tournament

The Hickman boys basketball team beat Ruskin 63-44 on Monday in the Kewpies' opening game at the Lee's Summit tournament.
Jimmy Whitt led Hickman (15-1) with 17 points. Mason Murray scored 14, and Chris Clark had 10.
The Kewpies move on to a 7 p.m. Wednesday game against the winner of Monday night's late game between Raytown South and Lee's Summit.
