Harry Lloyd Rippeto April 28, 1948, to Jan. 13, 2013, formerly of Hallsville

Harry Lloyd Rippeto, 64, of Sanford, Florida (formerly Hallsville) died January 13, 2013 after battling Leukemia.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until time of service.

Harry was born April 28, 1948 in Columbia, MO to Morris Divin and Beulah Mae Rice Rippeto.

He graduated from Hallsville High School in 1966. After high school he attended KC Technical School where he was trained as an auto mechanic. He worked for Universal Studios supervising and maintaining the amusement rides. He also enjoyed Robotics and mentored high school students in Robotics competitions. Harry restored a boat which he lived on and named “Rip-Tide”.

He is survived by a son, Shawn (Becky) Rippeto, a daughter, Michelle (Rick) Meyer; a brother Larry (Brenda) Rippeto of Hallsville; four half-sisters, Anna Ruth Yelvington and Hazel Dean Hitt of Columbia, Stella Mae Ervin (Warren “Butch”) of San Antonio and Mary Helen Niemeyer of Mehlville; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special friend, Beth Danley of Orlando, Flordia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a half brother, James “Jim” Ridgway.
