Moses Etukudo kept people smiling

COLUMBIA — Moses S. Etukudo kept a smile on people's faces. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone.

Mr. Etukudo of Columbia died at his home Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013. He was 57.

Born Jan. 20, 1955, in Akwa, Nigeria, Mr. Etukudo moved to the United States in 1977. 

He had a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees and was going to Columbia College to get another degree as a registered nurse or physical therapist.

After working in many different nursing homes, Mr. Etukudo worked at Boone Hospital.

Mr. Etukudo loved to work, travel and have fun. He was loved by many people.

Mr. Etukudo is survived by his parents, brothers and sisters who live in Nigeria; as well as his ex-wife, Shirley Brown; and her family.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 West. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Memorial contributions can be made out to Memorial Funeral Home in memory of Mr. Etukudo.
