Hickman girls basketball impressive at tournament

Every Hickman girls basketball player that dressed for the game scored in the Kewpies' 66-26 victory over Bishop Ward on Thursday in the opening round of the Smith-Cotton tournament in Sedalia.
Emily Miller led Hickman (13-1) with 16 points. Kendahl Adams had 12 points, Jordan Matthews scored 11, and Cherish Walton had nine.
Jade Holly, a 5-foot-8 senior guard, followed with seven points, but she also had six rebounds, six steals and six assists. She also held Bishop Ward's leading scorer, a 6-1 point guard, to just three points.
Hickman's next game in the tournament is set for 9 p.m. Friday against the winner of Thursday's late game between Rolla and Center.
