Columbia College women top Harris-Stowe State to stay undefeated in conference play

ST. LOUIS – The Columbia College women's basketball team continued their undefeated run in conference play Thursday by topping Harris-Stowe State, 65-53 in St. Louis.

The teams ended the first half with the score tied at 28, but the Cougars (15-5) eventually pulled away to seal their 11th straight win. 

Senior guard Lily Abreu scored 14 points to lead Columbia College, while junior guard Heather English scored 13. Sophomore forward Kayla Washington added 12 points.

Columbia College faces another conference foe Saturday at 2 p.m., when it hosts William Woods at the Arena of Southwell Complex.
