ST. LOUIS – The No. 1 Columbia College men's basketball team stayed undefeated Thursday by easily dispatching Harris-Stowe State, 93-49.
The Cougars (21-0) got off to a scorching start and built a 29-point lead by halftime. Columbia College hit seven three-pointers in the first half and didn't let up after the break, making 58 percent of their shots and outrebounding the Hornets 31-21.
Junior guard Devin Griffin led the Cougars with 20 points, 16 coming in the first half alone, and 14 players scored baskets in all.
Columbia College will try to stay at the top of the NAIA charts on Saturday when it hosts William Woods at 4 p.m. at the Arena of Southwell Complex.
