COLUMBIA – The Columbia College women's basketball team gained six spots in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll released Tuesday afternoon. The Cougars moved up their highest ranking of the season at No. 18.
The Cougars (16-5) have won their past 12 contests dating back to last December, and currently lead the American Midwest Conference with a 9-0 record after a convincing 85-64 win over rival William Woods University on Saturday.
Columbia College returns to action on Thursday to host Williams Baptist College at 5:30 p.m. The Cougars dominated the Eagles 58-36 in their conference opener on Jan. 3.
