Missouri football agrees to home-and-home series with Arkansas State

COLUMBIA — Missouri and Arkansas State University reached an agreement to play a home-and-home football series with games in 2013 and 2015. 

The first game of the series will be played Sept. 28. The final game of the series will be played Sept. 12, 2015, in Jonesboro, Ark. Kickoff times for Missouri football games will be set this summer.

Arkansas State went 10-3 this past season and won the Sun Belt Conference title. The Red Wolves beat No. 25 Kent State 17-13 in the GoDaddy.com Bowl. The Tigers went 5-7 and failed to reach a bowl in 2012 for the first time since 2004.

Missouri and Arkansas State have met twice. The Tigers won won 52-20 at home in 2004. Missouri also won 44-17 in Kansas City the following year. 

Missouri opens its season with Murray State, of the Football Championship Subdivision at home Aug. 31. The Tigers also have home games against Toledo, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M. Missouri will play at Indiana, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Kentucky and Ole Miss in 2013.
