Kansas had two winning streaks snapped simultaneously in an 85-80 loss to conference foe Oklahoma State on Saturday.
The Jayhawks had owned an 18-game winning streak going into the game, the longest streak in the nation. They had also won 33 straight games in Phog Allen Fieldhouse, and hadn't lost to Oklahoma State at home since 1989.
Junior guard Markel Brown led the way for the Cowboys, pouring in 28 points to lead their attack. Freshman guard Marcus Smart added 25 points of his own in the win.
Kansas (19-2, 7-1 Big 12) turned the ball over 16 times in the loss. Ben McLemore, a redshirt freshman guard from St. Louis who considered both Kansas and Missouri before finally committing to Kansas in 2011, led the Jayhawks with 23 points.
