Columbia police investigating death at Truman Veterans Hospital

COLUMBIA — Police are investigating a death Friday at the Truman Veterans Hospital, according to a news release Saturday.

Hospital police turned over the case to Columbia Police Department investigators at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the news release from Sgt. Joe Bernhard, a department spokesman.

The victim and the suspect, who were not named in the news release, were both patients at the hospital. The suspect is in custody, Bernhard said in the news release. More information about the suspect and the case will be released later, he said.
