The Columbia College women's basketball team continued its climb up the NAIA rankings, moving up one spot to No. 17 in the newest poll released Tuesday.

The Cougars scored two wins last week, dispatching league opponent Williams Baptist (Arkansas) College after a late rally, 59-55, and besting Park University on the road, 99-70. The Cougars extended their win streak to 14 games in the process and remain in control of the American Midwest Conference with an 11-0 conference record.

Sophomore Tierney Seifert drained a school-record eight 3-pointers in Saturday's win over Park University while senior Lily Abreu averaged 21 points during last week's action en route to AMC Player of the Week honors.

The Cougars return to the court Thursday evening for a road game at Benedictine University in Springfield, Ill. Tip off will be at 5:30 p.m.
