Columbia College women's basketball team remain undefeated in conference

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women's basketball team soundly defeated Benedictine University 97-40 on Thursday in Springfield, Ill.

The Cougars gained control of the game early, owning a 51-19 lead at halftime behind nine first-half bench points from sophomore Kayla Washington. The Columbia bench continued to contribute in the second half, ending the game with 59 points.

Freshman Danielle Ingrum, who hit four three-pointers in the game, finished with 12 points to lead the Cougars in scoring.

Columbia College plays next at home against Stephens College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
