LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Monitor your yards

Friday, February 8, 2013 | 11:11 a.m. CST; updated 11:40 a.m. CST, Friday, February 8, 2013

Have you or your friends had any landscaping done by a non-licensed operator? Did it by chance include a blue spruce approximately 6 feet tall? If so, that tree may have been the one that thieves dug from my yard on Rain Forest Parkway in January. Did any of you see two or more men digging a tree from my yard?

FOLKS, DO MONITOR YOUR YARDS. I suspect there will be many more instances like this as yards are repaired from last summer's damage.

I am sad that I lost my beautiful tree, for at my age I will never be able to grow a tree to that height again. I am, however, sadder for the ones who took it. While I forgive them, I know that my Bible says,"You shall not steal," and "Vengeance is mine saith the Lord." We all will be held accountable for our actions on Judgement Day.
