COLUMBIA — The True/False Film Fest announced Friday the dates and times for movie screenings during the four-day festival, Feb. 28-March 3.
Films will be shown in eight downtown venues beginning at 4 p.m. Feb. 28 and ending at about midnight March 3. The schedule also includes a number of parties and other events, such as a 5K run and an offbeat tour of Columbia.
Early access to film tickets depends upon the type of pass purchased for the festival. Four levels of passes are on sale now and range in price from $75 to $700.
Reservations begin Sunday and are staggered, with the more expensive passes having first access.
Individual ticket sales begin at noon Feb. 28 at the True/False Box Office, 1020 E. Broadway — if tickets are still available.
These tickets cost $8 at the box office or $10 at the door. Students with a valid student ID will be able to buy tickets for $6 at the box office.
Any tickets remaining are available at the box office up to 15 minutes prior to the screening.
Or, non-passholders can participate in a Q system.
An hour before the film starts, a venue Queen – the most flamboyant person in the area — will hand over a Q number and the house manager will release all available seats in order five minutes prior to the start of the film. These tickets cost $10.
The film festival, now in its 10th season, includes more than 40 documentary films this year.
