Arthur Basey Vanlandingham II, Feb. 19, 1943 — Feb. 8, 2013, of Rocky Mount

Arthur Basey Vanlandingham II, 69, Rocky Mount, Mo., left his earthly home for his eternal Heavenly home with Jesus on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fla. 

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Basey was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Boonville and graduated from David H. Hickman High School in 1961. He attended the University of Missouri and served in the National Guard. He was a real estate developer, entrepreneur and consultant for over 50 years.

He was a member of the Church at Osage Hills in Osage Beach, Mo., and attended the First Assembly of God in Ft. Myers, Fla., during the winter months where he and Bonnie lived. He was a former member of the Mid-Missouri Corvette Club.  

Basey was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, and children, Jeffery Vanlandingham, Arthur Basey "Jay" Vanlandingham III, Aric B. Vanlandingham, Lisa L. Wilkinson; two stepchildren, Teena Whitesides and Tony Whitesides; sister, Becky L. Hall and brother, Barry Vanlandingham; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Online tributes may be left at
