Arthur Basey Vanlandingham II, 69, worked more than 50 years in real estate

Arthur Basey Vanlandingham II of Rocky Mount died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013,, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fla. He was 69.

Mr. Vanlandingham was born Feb. 19, 1943,, in Boonville. He graduated from Hickman High School in 1961 and attended MU. Mr. Vanlandingham served in the National Guard.

He was a real estate developer, entrepreneur and consultant for more than 50 years.

Mr. Vanlandingham was a member of the Church at Osage Hills in Osage Beach and attended the First Assembly of God in Ft. Myers, Fla., during the winter months where he and his wife, Bonnie, lived. He was a former member of the Mid-Missouri Corvette Club.

Mr. Vanlandingham is survived by his wife, Bonnie; four children, Jeffery Vanlandingham, Arthur Basey “Jay” Vanlandingham III, Aric B. Vanlandingham and Lisa L. Wilkinson; two stepchildren, Teena Whitesides and Tony Whitesides; two siblings, Becky L. Hall and Barry Vanlandingham; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Visitation, with services to follow, will be from 2to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
