Columbia College runners earn impressive finishes

Cody Gorham was second and Devin Sander was third for the Columbia College track team in the men's 1600-meter run Saturday at the Monmouth College Fighting Scot Invitational.

The Cougars' Michael McCulloch and Jordan Andrew both had career bests in the men's 800. McCulloch placed 11th in 2:03:11, and Andrews placed 31st in 2:16.56. 

Julia Montgomery and Lindsey Martin set career-bests in the women's 1600. Montgomery placed ninth in 5:25.71, and Martin placed 10th in 5:30.89. Julia Collins placed 16th for the Cougars in the women's 800 in 2:32.07.
