Carol became a civilian Dietician, the only one to have this status in Camp Carson (now Fort Carson).  After her husband fulfilled his active duty responsibilities in the Army Medical Corp, she returned to Columbia and devoted herself to being a mother to her children and helpmate to her husband who was now in graduate school.

She was loved by all those who came in contact with her. Her life was filled with excitement and adventure. She enjoyed traveling to places where her ancestors had lived in Scotland.

Carol was a gentle and very kind person. She was totally focused on her family. She was deeply concerned about those who were less fortunate.

She is survived by her husband, Don; three children, David, Julie and Andy; her sister, Virginia and her brother, James Middleton.

The family would like her to be remembered by contributions to our local food bank.
