Catherine Hunt loved travel, reading

COLUMBIA — Catherine L. Hunt of Columbia died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.

Ms. Hunt was born in 1933 to Dorothy (Biffle) Hunt and Russell O. Hunt.

Ms. Hunt, who was an MU retiree, loved to travel across the country and around the world. She was passionate about reading, her cat Buster and caring for the plants and animals around her home.

She is survived by her four cousins, Barbara Biffle and her husband, Don Bennett, of Lincoln, Neb., Mark Biffle and his wife, Vicky, of Pinedale, Wyo., Earl Biffle Jr. of Clayton and Jessie Biffle Bostwick O'Mara and her husband, Joe, of St. Petersburg, Fla.

There will be no public services, but a private gathering of family and friends will be held at a future date.
